Ferrero victorious in Chile

The International Chile On Road Championship took place at the CACH track near Santiago de Chile. Fastest drivers in the qualification were Eduardo Giardino followed by Argentinian driver Fabio Ferrero (Shepherd/Picco) and Alvaro Jara securing themselves a direct spot in the main final. With Gaston Zegard in 6th and Felipe Lyon in 7th position there were 2 more Shepherd Velox V8 in the semi finals managing it to bumped up to the main final.
Peracho wins Spanish Nationals Rd2

The second round of the spanish 1/8 championship was held at the ARCA track in Alcobendas near Madrid. Saturday started pretty wet but after the track dried up it was possible to run some practice heats followed by two rounds of qualification under dry conditions. Shepherd´s Carlos Peracho qualified second right behind Spanish top driver Nacho Lopez.
Kurzbuch wins Swiss nats Rd2

The second round of the swiss nationals took place at the world famous MRTM Track in Lostallo. In the strong 1/8th class Simon Kurzbuch showed already a great performance during qualification by winning 3 out of 4 heats what secured himself the TQ spot in front of Silvio Hächler.
Wischnewski and Kurzbuch win @ ENS Rd1

Last weekend Team Shepherd had a great time at the ENS Rd1 in Bologna. With Shepherd drivers from all over Europe and the USA joining the race the team was by far the biggest in attendance and claimed the victory in the 1/10th scale class as well as in the 1/8th scale class.

In the 1/10th scale class it was Dirk Wischnewski mastering the difficult track conditions. The shortened 30min final had to be run under wet conditions making it extra challenging to keep the car on the track. But Dirk and his pitmen Marco Muscara and Alex Kempe showed an excellent performance. After 30min of intense racing Dirk crossed the finishing in first position claiming his first major victory in 2016.

Kurzbuch and Schäfer dominate Team C Cup

Last weekend the Team C Cup was held at the TRC track in Hong Kong. In the 1/8 class is was Shepherd’s Simon Kurzbuch who dominated the event. In qualifying he took a convincing TQ in front of Luk Chi Hung and Senna. Right from the start of the 45min main final Simon stormed away and increased the gap over the rest of the field lap by lap setting a new lap record. After 45min he crossed the finishing line 5 laps in front of Hay with Chan Chau Man completing the podium.
