Aluminium middle shaft and brass battery plate mounts

We have released some new option parts for the Velox V10, which were used by Marc Rheinard to get 3rd place at the World Championships in Houston at the beginning of August. The new battery plate mounts are CNC-machined from the finest brass and provide an additional weight of 25g in total. Mounted directly on the chassis plate they lower the centre of gravity significantly and minimize the risk of traction rolling.

Steele defends Irish 200mm title

Team Shepherd driver Chris Steele has successfully defended his Irish 1:10 200mm National Championship title continuing his 100% winning form as the fifth round took competitors to Northern Ireland.  Racing at the tight Ballymoney circuit, Steele maintained his perfect qualifying record to secure his fifth TQ honour of the season ahead of the returning Mark Gilliland.

Kurzbuch victorious in Sitterdorf

Round 4 of the Swiss 1/8th scale Nationals took place under very sunny conditions at the nice Sitterdorf track. It was the first race during the season where the racers could drive their cars in dry conditions. The drivers within the expert class made an exciting main final on Sunday afternoon. Shepherd driver Simon Kurzbuch with his Velox V8 had very good qualification runs and secured himself the pole position in front of his Shepherd team mate Andy Geisser. Silvio Hächler and Shepherd driver Marco Müller completed the direct qualifiers.

Giardino wins Argentian Championship

This year’s Argentinean Championship race was held at the capital Buenos Aires recently. It was Argentinean Team Shepherd member Eduardo Giardino how claimed the 2010 national title with his Velox V8. The practice started already on Friday, the weather conditions cold and damp in the morning, but in the afternoon the traction came up and Giardino clocked some good lap times.

Velox V10 victory at Hungarian debut

The past weekend saw the 6th round of the Hungarian 1/10th Scale Championship run at the Modellcentrum Track in Budapest. Last years champion Simon Ciudan joined the Hungarian Shepherd Team just before the race and was amazed by the performance of the Velox V10. After taking TQ with the fastest laptime of the weekend he also dominated the 30 minute final leading from the start to the end and crossing the finishing line with a 3 laps gap over Zsolt Bajusz followed by László Kiss-Orbán.
